Are you a new leader to Scouting? Have you been a leader in the past but have moved from one position to another? If you answered yes to either of these questions than the 90 min. Cub Scout Leader Training is just what you need. Listed below are all the group 90 min. Cub Scout Leader Training Courses scheduled throughout the Twin Valley Council. These sessions are for New Leaders and Past Leaders that have moved into a new leadership position (ie: Tiger Leader to Wolf Leader). All New and Past leaders should do their best to attend one of these training courses within the Twin Valley Council.
While participating in their specific course, not only will they learn more about their specific role as a leader, parents roles and how advancement works but they will also walk away with their calendar planned for the upcoming year. This will also help your pack to earn an additional 2% in popcorn sales commission. We hope to see all of you there!
All sessions will include the following specific breakout training sessions:
- Tiger Leader Training
- Wolf & Bear (Den) Leader Training
- Webelos Leader Training
- Cubmaster & Assistant Cubmaster Training
- Committee Chair & Pack Committee

BALOO
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation
According to the current BSA rules, “Pack overnighters must be organized and led by an adult leader who has successfully completed BALOO training.” Without BALOO training in the Council, no pack can (should) participate in overnight camping except at the council sponsored events - Fun with Son or Webelos Adventure camps. Camping done as a pack without a BALOO trained adult is simply camping with friends and Scouting insurance and assurances do not apply.
