Cuyuna Wild Director

The Cuyuna Wild Director is responsible to the Camp Director through the Program Director. This Director must be at least 21 years old and certified in first aid and CPR. They must have extensive knowledge in high adventure activities and other programs or skills involved for this program. National Camp School certification in High Adventure/Trek Programs is desirable.

Duties include:

• Develop, organize, and operate the Cuyuna Wild program to ensure quality high adventure treks designed for older scouts and Venturers.
• Maintain safety for participants.
• Coordinate program on a troop/crew, patrol, or individual basis with the help of the program director.
• Keep inventory accurate and ensure proper storage of equipment.
• Keep equipment in good repair.
• Finalize program schedule for the next summer.
• Develop promotional materials for the program.
• Identify possibilities for new trek routes and adventure programming.
• Manage Business aspects of the program including menu planning.
• Train and supervise Cuyuna Wild staff members.
• Participate in staff meetings, sharing ideas for continual improvement of camp program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the camp or program director.
