2010 Popcorn Sales Information

Instead of doing multiple fundraisers throughout the year, many units only do one large fundraiser a year using Trails-end Popcorn.  With the money raised, units pay for an entire year of Scouting.

The money raised pays for unit activities. The amount raised determines how much extra parents will need to pay during the year.  If a Scout is able to meet his goal he may not need to pay any other dues during the year.

As outlined on pages 2 & 3 in the 2010 Popcorn Sale Orientation Packet, units can earn up to 31% under the Trail’s End prize program.  Boy Scout Troops also have the option to earn an additional 4% cash commission in place of the Trail’s End Prize program, but this plan does not forfeit a scout’s right to earn any of the council bonus prizes or the national prizes given to top individual sellers at the $1,500 & $2,500 levels.

THERE ARE OVER TWICE AS MANY BONUS PRIZE OFFERINGS THIS YEAR OVER 2009!!! The Twin Valley Council has 100 BONUS prizes to give out to top selling scouts! And regardless of the incentive plan your unit participates in, ALL scouts are eligible for the BONUS prize drawings as outlined below. In addition, Trail’s End has added a $600 Club level allowing all selling Scouts a chance to earn a marshmallow crossbow shooter. What a deal!!!

IMPORTANT SELLING DATES:

First Day to Sell: October 2, 2010

10-Day Blitz period: (October 2, 2010 – October 11, 2010), give a copy of your order form to your unit leader if you met the “Blitz” requirements.

LAST DAY TO SELL: October 31, 2010 – get your order forms to your unit leader.
