Growing up in Fairmont, MN, I have been associated with the Twin Valley Council - BSA for almost 40 years.  I am an Eagle Scout w/Bronze Palm from Troop 159, which is no longer in existence.  My Scoutmaster as a youth was Harlan Logemann.  I was OA Chief for several years and worked at Camp Cuyuna from 1984-1989; first as Nature Center Director and then as Program Director.  I was one of the founding members of the Camp Cuyuna Alumni Association (CCAA), serving as the organization's first President for 7 years.

As Director of Programs and Special Events at SMM, I have coordinated the museum's Camp-In Program for the past 16 seasons.  The Science Museum of Minnesota's Camp-In Program is one of the longest running museum sleepover programs in the nation.  In 2016, the program will celebrate its 30th anniversary.  Over these past three decades we have hosted almost 80,000 campers!  For over a decade, TVC scouts have attended "Sleeping With the Dinos!" Camp-Ins here at the museum.  Just a couple of years ago, the council held the honor of having the most campers at a single Camp-In - 604 participants!
