Thank you to Scoutmasters and the Chapter Advisers for your help in getting these accomplished.  It is very important that we try to reach each and every troop even if they don't have scouts for an election.  We should be doing camp promotions even if they don't have an election.  We can promote Camp Cuyuna, OA high Adventure, and each Districts Spring Camporee.

Scoutmasters should get a call to set up a time with them to do an election or to make sure one is being done.  If you or your scouts are able to help with an election, please let your Chapter Adviser know that as well.

To be eligible the youth must be a 1st Class Scout, he must have experienced 15 days and nights of Boy Scout camping during the two-year period prior to election.  The 15 days and nights must include one, but no more than one, long-term camp consisting of six consecutive days and five nights of resident camping, approved and under the auspices and standards of the BSA.  The balance of the camping must be overnight, weekend, or other short-term camps.  Following approval by the Scoutmaster, Scouts are elected to seek membership in the Order by their fellow unit members.

After all of the elections have been completed.  Chapter Advisers should collect the paperwork.  If you have questions, please give Steve Knuth a call at 507.525.3149
