North Star District 2016 Klondike

The North Star District 2016 Klondike was held on Friday, Feb. 12 - Sunday, Feb. 14th, at Cedar Point Scout Camp.

Many scouts started out the weekend Friday night, sleeping in Polaris and Wade lodges, where they enjoyed playing games, and even getting to watch a movie.

Saturday's activities included building "Buddy Burners", broom ball, ice golf, and helping stack firewood as a service project. the Buddy Burners were used to cook a pancake and fry ham outdoors once they were completed. Lunch was potluck, provided by each Troop. After the individual breakout sessions were completed, there was a Snow Sculpture contest, in which Jackson Troop 80 took home the 1st place honors. This was followed by the Annual Sled Race, in which Fairmont Troop 56 was able to take1st place. Congratulations to both troops for their achievement.
