BIG Changes Happening with Cuyuna Family Cabin Reservations

BIG changes are underway for reserving the cabins at Family Camp.

First - at least one adult in your group MUST BE BSA registered to reserve the cabins.  It doesn't matter if you are new to using Cuyuna or a long time visitor.  It doesn't matter if you are at Cuyuna for a relaxing visit or plan to volunteer your time working at various jobs.   Eagle Scouts - new and not so new - everyone must be BSA registered.

Families like to use Cuyuna Family Camp cabins to get away.  Who wouldn't? It's a beautiful area!  By having a person become BSA registered we are able to do a background check.  Our goal is to have every adult on site at Cuyuna be BSA registered - Twin Valley Council needs to know who is using our facilities.   We are also not licensed or insured to be a campground, we are a Boy Scout camp.  So again, the need to be BSA registered becomes important.

We started this process slowly with requiring one person in a group using the cabins to be BSA registered.  As stated, our goal is to have every adult on site at Cuyuna BSA registered regardless of using the cabins, or site camping.  We ask for your support as we work through this process.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call Scout Executive Paul Wilkinson.

If you do not know if your membership is current, please contact Twin Valley Council at 507-387-3123.

Second - All Family Camp Cabin reservations are done on-line through this website.  Payment is also on line.  The days of paper applications, the days of reserving cabins through the Camp Ranger, the days holding reservations without payment will be disappearing at this time.

For those wishing to stay at Family Camp using one of the sites, no reservation is needed.  Sites are rented on a first come first served basis.  Please contact the ranger, Jack Sargent, if you have questions about site camping.

Reservations will not be accepted without payment in full.

Reservations are not complete until you receive a confirmation from the Twin Valley Council website.  All reservations are first-come, first-serve upon completed BSA registration, reservation process and fee payment.
