Anyone heading into the back country or on a High Adventure trip needs to "Be Prepared" for emergency. Twin Valley Council is hosting a Wilderness First Aid Training the weekend of April 7-9, 2017.
Each person attending the Wilderness First Aid Training must have a current CPR/AED certification. CPR/AED training will be offered as part of this training.
Fee to attend this training is $70 per person and includes all training supplies, a training certificate, weekend camping facilities, and 3 meals (Saturday supper, Sunday breakfast and Sunday lunch. Saturday lunch will be on your own).
This training is limited to sixteen adults and registration can be completed by clicking the orange box to the right.
If desired, participants may arrive Friday evening to enjoy beautiful Norseland Scout camp. You are welcome to pitch a tent or sleep in the lodge (remember the bunks have been removed). Please provide your own food for Friday supper and Saturday breakfast/lunch.
Saturday training begins at 9 a.m. with CPR/AED training. This is a pre-requisite to Wilderness First Aid training. Please check with the class instructor, Jeff Hackenberger, to verify your training meets Wilderness First Aid requirements. Jeff's contact information is listed below.
At 1 o'clock on Saturday, the Wilderness First Aid training begins. Everyone should have lunch before they arrive. This training will last until about 8 p.m. Again, you are welcome to pitch a tent or sleep in the lodge at Norseland. Some of you may also choose to head home returning Sunday morning by 9 a.m.
Sunday morning classes resume at 9 a.m. and will continue until the course is complete (5 p.m.?).
