CUB SCOUT RESIDENT CAMP

YEEHAW!  IT'S TIME FOR CAMPIN'

Held at Norseland Scout Camp in June and at Cedar Point Scout Camp in August, this camp is sure to be      "all-fired" excitement!

So mosey on over and let's
shoot some bb guns, fire some arrows at targets, hike in nature, learn some Western Survival skills, and sleep under the stars.

Cub Scout Resident Camp & Day Time Option at Resident Camp - Dates and Locations

Cub Scout Resident Camp

At Cub Scout Resident Camp, Cub Scouts attend with their parent or guardian and enjoy a camping experience for TWO NIGHTS!  Camp is held rain or shine so plan accordingly.  You have two locations from which to choose.  Experience the same basic activities at either camp.

Cub Scout Day Time Only Option at Resident Camp

At Cub Scout day time only at Resident Camp, Cub Scouts attend from 8:30 a.m. Saturday and conclude for the day at 5 p.m.  Lunch will be provided.  Participants then have the option of returning Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. for activities until about noon.  Camp is held rain or shine so plan accordingly.  You have two locations from which to choose.  Experience the same basic activities at either camp.

With the day time only options, Pack are responsible for providing one adult walking leader with every 4 Scouts and all Tiger Cubs (first grade fall 2018) must have a parent/adult partner with them.  Adults attend at no cost.

Registration and Fees

Both camps are designed for any BSA registered Cub Scout entering First - Third grades (fall 2018) but all Cub Scouts are welcome.

Cub Scout Resident Camp

  • Cub Scout and Parent team       $140
  • Additional Cub Scout or parent same family     $75
  • T-shirts can be ordered for an additional   $15
    • you must register by June 30th to be able to order shirts
    • while we will do everything we can to have the shirts available by camp we cannot guarantee their arrival.  Shirts will be shipped to your home if they arrive after camp

Cub Scout Day Time Only Option at Resident Camp

  • Cub Scout cost is $50
  • Adult attends at no additional cost
  • Tiger Cubs (those entering first grade this fall) must attend with an adult partner; all other Scouts must have one adult attend per 4 Scouts attending
  • T-shirts can be ordered for an additional $15

Schedule

Cub Scout Resident Camp

Cub Scout Resident Camp begins at 5 p.m. on Friday.  Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.  Programming starts at 7 p.m. with the campfire at 8:30 p.m.  Camp will conclude at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.  Camp is held rain or shine!

Cub Scout Day Time Only Option at Resident Camp

Day Time Camp begins on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and concludes by 5 p.m.  Participants then have the option of returning on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. for the final activities with camp concluding at 11:30 a.m.  Camp is held rain or shine!

Health Forms

Everyone at camp (youth and adult) must have a medical form.  Parts A and B are to be completed at home and includes a medical history and list of medication taken  (Part C requires a physical and is not needed for Cub Scout Resident Camp).

Authorization for a minor to participate in shooting sports

Every Scout must have a signed Shooting Sports permission form on site in order to participate at the BB Gun range.  Please ensure that a signed form is at camp so your Scout may experience all camp has to offer.

Leadership & Policy

Cub Scout Resident Camp

Any BSA registered Cub Scout entering First - Third grade (fall 2018) may attend this camp along with his parent or guardian.  Additional Cub Scout same family does not require an additional parent.

BSA policy states: Scouts are not permitted to sleep in a tent with an adult other than his own parent or guardian.  This policy will be strictly monitored.

Cub Scout Day Time Only Option at Resident Camp

Packs who participants in the Day Time Resident Camp must have a minimum of one adult leader for every 4 Scouts attending.  Each Tiger Cub (first grade fall 2018) must have their own adult partner.  Tiger Cub adult partner cannot be counted as a leader for the other Scouts attending.
