Scout Night With The MoonDogs It's An "Under The Stars" Event

                     SCOUT NIGHT WITH THE MOONDOGS 
                          AN "UNDER THE STARS" EVENT

Join us on Friday, June 22, 2018, for an incredible event; Scout Night with the MoonDogs "An Under the Stars Event"!  This event is held at the Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato.  It's a family friendly event; so call Grandma and Grandpa, pack up the siblings, and head over to the ball field because everyone is welcome!

Schedule of Events

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a tailgate party.  During the tailgate party you'll receive your custom designed "Under the Stars" MoonDogs T-shirt, enjoy a hot dog, some chips (water will be furnished but bring your own soda/tea).

Any Scout wishing to participate in the opening flag ceremony should arrive at the event with their Class A uniform.  All flag ceremony participants will meet at 6:50 p.m. to prepare for the ceremony.  Meeting place to be determined.  There will be time to change into their MoonDogs T-shirt following the flag ceremony.

Game begins at 7:05 p.m.  It's the Mankato MoonDogs vs. the Eau Claire Express.  Plus it's 80's Night at the Frank!  Dress the part for added fun!

Immediately following the end of the game the "Under The Stars Event" begins!  Meet MutNik, play games, run the bases, watch a movie, enjoy the campfire, have a snack and camp under the stars.  What a fun event for the entire family!  Those who wish to not spend the night are welcome to participate in the activities then head home at your convenience.

In the morning there will be a continental breakfast and you'll be headed home by 9 a.m. with a memory full of great family times together.

Camping

Twin Valley Council will be the first organization to camp in the newly improved Franklin Roger Park.  This venue has gone through some great updates including a new, state of the art turf playing surface.  New locker rooms and dugouts, updated concession area, and new seating has also been added. 

Because of the new turf, it is imperative that all campers understand the level of respect we must show the MoonDog playing field.  There will be absolutely no tent stakes driven into the turf.  Please "Be Prepared" to use an alternate method of setting up your tent.  Event coordinator Roger Bergquist will be happy to talk through a different method of tent set up if you are concerned.  Be adventurous - sleep without a tent; after all this is an "Under the Stars" event!

Every person must submit a  Health Form (Parts A and B) at event check-in.

Cost and Registration

We are offering an Early Bird rate for this event.  Early Bird fee is $20 per person if you register by June 12th.  Fee includes tail gate party, custom designed shirt, general admission ticket, "Under the Stars" event, camping, and a continental breakfast. 

On June 13th the regular price of $30 applies and the custom designed shirt is no longer an option.  On line registration closes on June 19th.  After this date you may still attend but must contact Roger Bergquist directly to register.
