Fall Cub-o-Ree and Shooting Sports Event

Two Great Events   ~   Two Great Locations   ~   Two Great Weekends

    

Cedar Point Scout Camp - Saturday, September 29th - Sunday, September 30th

Norseland Scout Camp - Saturday, October 6th - Sunday, October 7th

Shooting Sports Event

This is a fantastic chance for your Scout to enjoy the shooting ranges.  Whether it's BB Gun or Archery, both locations will give your Scout the opportunity to improve their shooting skills, learn about range safety and possibly earn a Shooting Sports Award.  The ranges open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and you can shoot until noon. 

All Scouts must be accompanied by an adult.  Siblings are also welcome!  All youth must also complete a Shooting Sports Permission Form.

Saturday, September 29th, the event will be held at Cedar Point Scout Camp which is located near Fairmont.  Arrive at 8:30 a.m. for check-in and the ranges open at 9 a.m.

Saturday, October 6th, the event will be held at Norseland Scout Camp which is located near St. Peter.  Again you should arrive at 8:30 a.m. for check-in and the ranges will open at 9 a.m.

Cost to attend this Shooting Sports Event is $15 per Youth, per location.  Adults attend at no additional cost.

The Cub-o-Ree overnight campout begins after this event (2 p.m.).  Families are welcome to attend the Shooting Sports Event or both!  Just select the correct option during the registration process.

Registration is open and can be completed by clicking on the appropriate location button in the upper right.  Deadline is Monday, September 24, 2018, for Cedar Point and Monday, October 1, 2018, for Norseland.  After this date you may still attend but must register directly with Heidi Nelson or Jay Striemer.

                

Cub-o-Ree Campout Event

This quick overnight camp is designed to give your family a one night camping experience.  Youth will enjoy some great outdoor games, have supper provided for them, gather around a campfire for a program and treats and then spend the night in your tent.  In the morning enjoy a camp breakfast as part of the experience.  Whether your are a first time camper or a season outdoors family, this event will be a great time.  Take advantage of one more chance to camp before the snow flies!

Saturday, September 29th, the Cub-o-Ree will be held at Cedar Point Scout Camp which is located near Fairmont.  You should arrive at 1:30 p.m. for check-in.  For those who are participating in the Shooting Sports Event, you will have time between the two events to enjoy your picnic lunch or to head into Fairmont for lunch.  In the morning, you will have breakfast and be heading for home by around 9 a.m.

Saturday, October 6th, the Cub-o-Ree will be held at Norseland Scout Camp near St. Peter.  Again, you should arrive at 1:30 p.m. for check-in.  For those who are participating in the Shooting Sports Event, you will have time between the two events to enjoy your picnic lunch or to head into St. Peter for lunch.  In the morning, you will have breakfast and be heading for home by around 9 a.m.

All Youth must attend with an adult.  It is BSA policy that no youth may share a tent with an adult that is not their parent.  Cost to attend this event is $5 per person (adults and youth).
