Lot's of things happening within Twin Valley Council this month.

Cub Camps - it's not too late to sign up for a summer camp.  There are still several camps accepting registrations.  Be sure to check out the Twin Valley Council website for more details.

Are you a golfer?  Are you a golfer wannabe?  Join the OA this Friday, June 6th for their annual OA Golf Tournament at the golf course in St. James.  Registration is on line.  For more details check out the home page of the website.

For those of you planning to attend the OA golf tournament please be aware of the detour on Highway 60.  Please contact Steve Knuth or Paul Taylor for more details on how to get there!

OA Conclave is June 13th at Cuyuna and only a handful of people have registered.  We really need you to pre-register this year to make planning the event easier!  There are just a few seats left on the bus, and those interested in this transportation option must register on line.  More information and specific details can be found on the Council website.  Questions please contact Steve Knuth.

Cuyuna opens in just a few weeks and there are still a number of positions that need to be filled!  Please spread the word!  A full list can be found on the Cuyuna page of the website.  Contact Foster Graif or Jack Sargent with any questions you may have.

Relive the Tayoayte Duta Trail Canoe Journey!  In the late 1960's, scouters developed both a hiking trail and a canoe trail along the Minnesota River.  It was called the Tayoayte Duta Trail.  During the 1970's the utilization of the trail began to fade and by the millennium, was a distant memory to just a few scouts.  The Good News is that Dr. Franz Reisdorf has taken on the re-design and re-launch of the Tayoayte Duta Canoe Trailt. The Minnesota DNR is very supportive of Dr. Reisdorf's project, which blends Minnesota Valley history with a paddling excursion.  Join Dr. Reisdorf's troop on the inaugural paddle of the re-launched canoe trail on June 24th from Upper Sioux Agency State Park. They will be at Fort Ridgely State Park on Saturday, June 28th.   For more details please see the story on the website home page.
