Foxfire Director

The Foxfire Director is responsible to the Camp Director through the Program Director. This Director is responsible for the personnel, program, operation and equipment of the Foxfire area. The Director should have extensive knowledge and skill relating to life and the outdoors in the 1800’s. The Foxfire Director must be at least 18 years old and be knowledgeable in handicraft skills.

Duties include:

  • Must have knowledge of requirements for related merit badges.
  • Maintain safety for all participants.
  • Coordinate program on a troop, patrol or individual basis with assistance from the Program Director and Commissioners.
  • Ensure flexibility of program schedule.
  • Keep accurate inventory and ensure proper repair and storage of equipment.
  • Organize the Monday Night Rendezvous
  • Participate in all staff meetings, sharing ideas for the continual improvement of camp program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or Program Director.
