The Polaris Lodge is the bigger of the two lodges found at Cedar Point Scout Camp. This lodge offers an open floor plan which allows units to place their cots as desired (bunks are not available). The kitchen offers stove, refrigerator, and a microwave but please bring your pots and pans. All trash needs to be taken with you when you leave. The Polaris Lodge has an indoor bath complete with shower. Suggested capacity for this lodge is 25 people and the maximum allowed is 28.
The on line reservation process is available for Scouting units wishing to reserve lodges and sites. If you are a non-Scouting organization please contact the council office for reservations and prices
Check-In Procedure
Agree to the Pledge of Performance: + + + Pledge of Performance + + + Please read and explain to your group before leaving for your trip. Make them aware this permit commits the entire group to uphold the following: _ We will not allow alcoholic beverages or non-prescribed drugs to be carried into camp and consumed on camp property. _ We will not allow smoking of any type in our council buildings _ We will follow check-in and check-out procedures with the Ranger. _ We will enforce reasonable travel speed, observing state and local laws. _ We will notify the council and parents in case of serious trouble. _ We will plan our program in advance. _ We will camp only on assigned sites. _ We will build fires in areas provided and keep under constant supervision with filled buckets available. _ We will use only downed wood if wood fires are utilized. _ We will not cut, blaze, or trim live trees. _ We will have two adult leaders in camp at all times. _ We will respect the property of others and will not trespass. _ We will not bring guns or bow to camp property. _ We will protect wild flowers and game. _ We will put trash and garbage in our containers and take home for disposal. _ We will not allow any pets to be brought into camp. _ We will provide for religious observance if camp date includes a Sabbath. _ We will at all times be a credit to the Boy Scouts of America and will not tolerate rowdyism or unscout conduct and will adhere to the Scout Oath and Law. _ We will leave only footprints and take with us only pleasant memories.
Clean-Up Procedure
Follow cleanup procedures posted in each camp building.
Check-Out Procedure
Check out with the Ranger.
